The thumbnail is the first thing a buyer sees in the list of offers. If it has a grey or colored background, text, a frame or the store logo, it breaks Allegro's rules. And this is not just about looks: a non-compliant thumbnail can lower the listing's position and, in extreme cases, lead to the listing being ended. We fix thumbnails so that they meet the rules and look good in the results.

Why the white background matters so much

• Allegro rules: in most categories the first image must have a pure white background, with no text, icons, frames, watermarks or store logo. Only a few categories, such as fashion, allow a light grey background.
• Relevance and ranking: thumbnail quality and compliance is one of the signals Allegro takes into account when ordering search results. A listing with a non-compliant image drops lower and wins the offer selection on the product page less often.
• Risk of the listing being ended: Allegro can remove an image that breaks the rules. If it was the only image, or all images break the rules, the listing is ended. Repeated violations can also cost you Super Seller status.
• More clicks: a well-cropped product on pure white is easy to read even on a small phone screen. More clicks and sales in turn mean better listing relevance.

What we do with every thumbnail

• we cut the product out of the background and set a pure white of RGB 255, 255, 255,
• we remove prohibited elements: text, icons, frames, watermarks and the store logo,
• we crop to a 1:1 square so that the product fills most of the frame,
• we improve brightness and sharpness without changing how the product looks,
• we replace the thumbnail in the listing while the rest of the gallery stays unchanged,
• we check the rules for your category, e.g. whether it allows a light grey background.

What if the image is poor quality?

If a good thumbnail cannot be made from the current image, we will tell you and ask for a better one. We do not reinvent the product or change its appearance.

What if I also want infographics?

How it works

2. You connect your Allegro account in FlyPanel. Register or log in at flypanel.pl and link your Allegro account. Authorization takes place on the Allegro website, so you never give us your password, and you can revoke access at any time.
3. You point us to the listings. You provide a list of listings, or ask us to pick the ones with non-compliant thumbnails ourselves.
4. We get to work and report back. We fix and replace the thumbnails, then send you a list of changed listings and the files of the finished images.
